HI, I'M ASH.

I'm a photographer and retoucher splitting my time between Brooklyn, New York, and the Pocono Mountains. One of the most challenging things about my job is spending 8-10 hours sitting in one spot. I often find myself daydreaming at my desk in full wanderlust mode. I'm constantly looking for cheap flights and budget accommodations to share with friends and family.

When I travel, I refuse to empty my bank account or max out credit cards for a week in paradise. While planning a trip, it’s easy to become overwhelmed and frustrated. Seemingly every travel blogger stays in the high-end hotels, lounge in first class and never mention the cost of anything. It makes traveling seem unobtainable for a lot of us which is why I’d like to share my experiences - and show you that it might not cost as much as you’d think.

In today's world, it's easy to get caught up in the routine of life and find yourself living through someone else's adventures. I created this blog to encourage everyone to get out there and see the world. That doesn't mean flying to another country; it could be as simple as getting in your car and traveling 2 hours from home or to the other side of the state. Anything new and exciting! You don't have to be rich, have six weeks of time off, or need a travel agent to plan a killer vacation. I hope you enjoy reading about my traveling experiences and start planning a trip of your own!
